Crafters Companion New Traditions Christmas Layout

Hello Ruby Rock-It fans, it so close to Christmas now and I still running around preparing for it. I now have all my albums and a layout ready for my 2018 photos and can't wait to start filling them in the New Year.

The Crafters Collection New Traditions Christmas range is awesome It is a very traditional range in colours and images, but it also has a few funky pages with surfing Santa's LOL.

Products Used:

New Traditions Christmas 12 x 12  Paper Pad,  New Traditions Christmas Die Cuts pack, New Traditions Red Glitter and Red A4 Specialty Paper Pack, 1 sheet of White Cardstock plus a small 6 x 4 piece of white cardstock.

Method:

I have selected 3 Pattern paper from the 12 x 12 pad that I like and then cut them down to a square and rectangle then used the 3rd one to make the 2 pennants.
Then I have used the satin mirror paper from the Red A4 Specialty Paper Pack and cut it to being 1/2 inch bigger than my photo and the I have done the same with the smaller white piece of cardstock but it is only 1/4 of in inch bigger than my photo. i then added some glue to each corner of the white photo mat and then applied the red glitter.

Then take your die cuts of choice and layer as per images below, I have used lots of 3D foam as you will be able to see from the images below.

Yo can see below the close up of the bottom embellishment

This is a close up of the matting and the glitter corners

You can see the depth of the 3D foam in he blow image.

When it was all finished I used some Gesso and a spatula to drag a light coating of Gesso over the images to add a snow like effect.

I hope you have enjoyed my blog post and found it inspiring. Kim

Hello Ruby Rock-It fans, today it is my turn on the blog today One can never have enough mini albums either for yourself or to give away as a gift to a special friend.

The Crafters Collection Rustic Christmas range is awesome for a more modern feel yet keeping with the traditional colours we all know for Christmas.

Products Used:

Rustic Christmas 12 x 12  Paper Pad, Rustic Christmas Die Cuts pack, Graphic 45 Bare Album Kit

Method:

What I have done to make my mini album was to select the papers i wanted to use then started cutting them to size for the bank sides of the box and album page.

Once they are all cut and adhered to the box and the mini album in side I took the Rustic Christmas Die cuts and started layering them on the box front then on the minni album pages using double side foam tape.

It is awesome to find a collection pack that also includes the glitter papers as well as die cuts within the pack so I took full advantage of using them.

the mini album is now just waiting some awesome Christmas photos to be added to it for 2018.

I hope you have enjoyed my blog post and found it inspiring. Kim

Using Masking Fluid

Hello Scrappingclearly followers today I am sharing with you a technique using Fineline Masking Fluid and Talons Indian Ink.

Using 300gsm mixed media paper taped to a board you take the Fineline Masking Fluid and draw your image to obtain thicker lines I open the bottle and used a small paint brush and even a twig from the trees.

Once dry dry I then used a sea sponge and applied the ink over the masking fluid, when this was dry I then peeled the masking fluid off and there is your image.

I hope you enjoyed learning how to use masking fluid.

Scrappingcleary and Paper Arts

Hello Scrappingcleary followers, its my turn on the blog today and I have decided to share with you the amazing papers from Paper Arts, Artistry and Beauty.

I love these papers they are so good for layering and if your unsure about using paint or mists then the effect is already there for you.

I have also used an array of the amazing Prima blooms that are stocked by Scrappingclearly to embellish my layout.

With these papers and layering of them I have found it was more pleasing to the eye to cut around the leaves and layer the paper under neath them as can be seen in the above image.

I just love how the title is already on the paper yet looks like I may have created it.

I hope you have enjoyed the creation I have shared with you and I look forward to sharing more with you next month Kim,
