Storms Don't Last for Ever for Stencil Girls Voices

Thanks for stopping by! Today, we are making art with Mary Beth Shaw's Private Collection 19.1.

Kim Kendell's Storms Don't Last Forever

The advice of Kim's artwork is a hope. The colors are rich yet subdued over some paper collaged in the background, while the white marks offer a pathway for the eyes.

Kim writes: "I took inspiration from the 9 x 12 and 6 x 6 stencils, when I opened my package it screamed Australian indigenous art to me, I have used aspects of Australian indigenous art in the design as well as collage and many layers of paint and colour that have been removed with a wet wipe then reapplied."

Take a look in different portions of the painting and see what you spy! Can you see where the large and small stencils from the February 2019 StencilClub stencils were incorporated?

Kim created this piece using the following products:
A4 chipboard sheet
Black Gesso
Seth Apter Paper Artsy paints in, Terra Cotta, Smoked Paprika, Mahogany, and Green Patina (semi-opaque)
Dina Wakely Olive and Vivid Metallic paint in Pearl White
Old book papers
Aquarelle pencil in black-smudged with water to highlight the various areas.

Method:

To make this I have taken the Cosmos Manifest sheet and cut it all up into the individual sections then H ave sat those aside, I have taken the white card stock and cut into 3 stripes 4 x 12 which I have then cut those to be 6 x 4.

I have taken the chipboard and cut to be 7 x 4.5 and then taken the Cosmos Universe sheet and covered the chipbaord with this Cosmos Universe I used mat medium to adhere this.

I have then taken the  Cosmos Universe paper and and cut  2 pages that are 6 x 4 for pages.

i have used the Cosmos Mantras page to cover the inside of my album and also used this to cut my quote for the back page.

Below are images of how I have constructed the pages and use the bling.

I have also used the Glitzy Gold Paper Confetti to make some more pages including some half size pages.

i have finished off the album by using the string to tie it all together.
