I have been very busy this month experimenting with colour and am loving some of the things I have created. It has helped that my adorable cousin has posed for some amazing photos.

This is my DT take on this months Crafty Sketches it is a fab sketch so why bit give it ago, I have used some ot the awesome new February released Scrapmatts on this LO so while you are looking around pop over and check out the new releases at Scrapmatts I have also added some LO's and cards I have done using the new releases in this post

Graphic 45 Design Team Audition 2012

Well after much humming and haring I have finally bitten the bullet and decided that now is the time to give this awesome Graphic 45 call a shot. So with out further ado here is my application.

First up is a Pocket for storing school work I have made the tags so that they can have photos on one side and journalling on the other.

I have used the ABC Primer range

Over at Scrapmatts this month it is Cathy Cafun's turn to host the challenge, and I am hoping you will be inspired to play along and get the chance to win a fabulous prize of a $25 Scrapmatts gift voucher.

How to Play:

As February is the month of love, I decided to have a word challenge. Use the word "LOVE" anywhere on your LO, card, ATC or OTP. The word can be in your title, journaling or on an embellishment. You don't have to create a romantic page, as you could use the word to convey something you love to do, to eat, to wear... the ideas are endless!!

I also have 2 other criteria for this challenge which are:

1. Have a heart (can be more than 1) somewhere on your project

2. To use some paint on your creation also.

To be eligible to win the prize, your creation MUST also have Scrapmatts on it.

Members need to upload their entry into the gallery by the end of the month and call it 'February Challenge'.

Scrapbooking Haven DT Call 2012

The Scrapbooking Haven 2012 Design Team Call
That’s right! It is that time again and the Scrapbooking Haven is now looking for 8 fabulous crafty ladies or gents to join their team for 2012. The Design Team term will run for 12 months from the 1st January through till the 31st December.

Here is what we require from our DT members:
- Minimum 3 projects created per month from your monthly DT kit and uploaded to our Design Team Gallery on our website (1 of these must be an example of an upcoming challenge usually a sketch challenge)
- 2 Blog Posts per month showing techniques, tutorials or sharing layouts with links to our website
- Checking in on the forums (www.scrapbookinghaven.ning.com) at least once per week and spreading the love to our members
- Regularly advertising promotions etc on your personal blog and any other networking sites such as Facebook/Twitter.
- Create 1 challenge per Cyber Crop each (Cyber Crops are held 2-3 times per year)

Here is what our DT members receive from the Scrapbooking Haven:
- 20% discount off all orders during your term with the Scrapbooking Haven
- Monthly Design Team Kits posted to you containing enough products to make a minimum of 5 projects (you are not required to make more than 3 per month but you are always welcome to create more if you find the time and I assure you that you will still have leftover goodies from your kit as well!)We are very generous with our DT kits and you will be very happily surprised!
- Private Group on the forums to chat with other DT members and brainstorm

The Scrapbooking Haven is a business based on the Central Coast of NSW in Australia. We promote ourselves as being the Cheapest prices Guaranteed and our customers always agree! Scrapmatt's November Blog post

This month saw the release of Scrapmatts christmas items and what fun we have all had playing with them pop into the gallery and check out what awesome things have been made with Scrapmatts.

I chose to make a 6 x 6 mini Book which has the story of "Twas the Night Before Christmas" in it and then in the back pages I will put photo's from this years christmas, I have used the amazing Graphic 45 Christmas Emporium range for this project plus Green Tara christmas toppers.

For the tree and baubles I have painted them with Cranberry paint from Making Memories and then covered them with Martha Stewart Gold glitter I reckon they look pretty special.

A New DT Position with Scrapping Clearly

Hi all and welcome to my blog post this month I hope that this post finds you all well and madly scrapping up a storm before the Christmas rush hits us.
This month we have no theme and I have a few LO's and an off the page I would like to share with you all (yes off the page for me LOL).
The story of this is that I have not really got into the printers tray craze that is happening at the moment but after a little convincing from Kylie and our lovely Sofie I agreed to give one ago.
It wasn't what I thought it would be it was large it wasn't a dust collector size (living on a farm I find this a problem) it was a very cute 6 inch one, so the day after it arrived I attacked it and loved doing it so, if like me you aren't keen on these I highly recommend that you give one ago you will be very pleasantly surprised, I for one was.

Cyber Crop Time at Scrapbooking Haven

The Cyber Crop weekend will continue through from the 4th November at 8.30pm AEDST and will finish at 8.30pm on Sunday the 6th November however you will have until the 10th November at midnight to get all your entries in.

On the weekend Amy and the design team will be running a series of different challenges for you all to play along with. These are designed to help you get your creative juices flowing mainly :) But of course there will be pressies for random winners of each challenge PLUS our design team members will be able to choose their favourite entries for some special gifts as well!

The Scrapbooking Haven is hosting a Girl's Night In that weekend and because most of you, my lovely customers, are in other states I decided this was the best way to get you all involved! The local ladies are of course welcome to join in the numerous crop sessions and classes I will be hosting here throughout the weekend.

ALSO we will have lots of fabulous PINK kits and products available on the website with a percentage of sales going to the Cancer Council! Of course we will throw in some non pink items and kits for all those who can't use the pink and still want to help out this great cause.

Upon registering our Girls Night In we have set up a website so you are all welcome to place donations directon the Cancer Council website if you like.

We would love for you all to invite your friends and spread the word because we would love to continue to do these cyber crops :)

This month's colour challenge at The Scrapbooking Haven is a range of gorgeous colours that really complement each other well! For this challenge you must create a layout or card using only the colours from the palette. You may only add White, Black or Kraft to your project. And now to the palette..

The challenge winner will receive a prize of a $20 voucher to The Scrapbooking Haven

or this month's White with One challenge the rules are very simple! Create a layout/card/OTP Project but the only colours you may use are White and Turquoise! You can use various shades from light Aqua to Teal but the only colour I want to see is those shades :) Black can be used for titling, journalling, inking, etc if you like.
The winner of this challenge will receive a Bazzil Cardstock pack valued at over $30!

Spring is the theme this month at Scrapmatts and this is my thoughts on Spring.

" It is with out a doubt the season that most excites everyone's senses.
The awaking after winter the first bulbs that small tiny hint that something magical is about to appear, and its the days warm and the plats start to burst into a life of there own we know Spring has arrived all on its own.
No assistance is needed from any human to bring in the new life, just nature its self busting with life.

Robin Williams said it all in his infamous quote "Spring is nature's way of saying, "Let's party!""

Scrapbudz - Hot Chocolate Challenge

This month scrapbudz are starting something a little different they are replacing the sketch with a HOT CHOCOLATE challenge so based on the image below they would like to see you create a layout using chocolate/brown cardstock base and the image provided ...there are only 2 rules to this challenge and that is you must use brown card stock for the base colour and you must have loads of FUN doing the challenge lol.

Called inspire as it is my great great grandparents and their lives together have inspired me.
I have used the le romantique range with some staples flowers both paper and metal plus staples buttons door plates hinges envelopes and lace and some Scrapmatts Chipboard and the background is a Tim Holtz paper
